Bay Area residents face the possibility of a range of natural disasters, for this reason the American Red Cross helps people in the Bay Area prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.  American Red Cross actively seeks ways to engage Bay Area community in emergency preparedness before disaster strikes.

Learning CPR is a simple way to be more prepared for an emergency. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to take a CPR class. That’s why on January 16, 2010, the Bay Area Chapter of the Red Cross will be hosting a CPR Training. Students will be trained by certified instructors in Adult CPR, rescue breathing, choking rescue, use of the EMS system, and basic home safety. Instruction is by demonstration, video tape and manikin practice on the floor. Wear comfortable clothing!
